The Making
I started dancing when I was four years old.
For years that meant the same thing every week: the same steps, the same corrections, the same hall, again and again until the movement stopped being something I thought about and became something my body simply knew. I competed all the way through childhood, then stepped away before college. When I came back to dance later, without the pressure of competition, I saw it differently. Underneath the costumes and the medals was something quieter and much harder to win: years of repetition, self-correction and endurance that no one ever sees.
That hidden endurance is what my work is about.
I'm Chloe Wynne, a jeweller and maker based in County Kildare. I trained at the National College of Art and Design, graduating with a BA in Jewellery & Objects in 2026. In the same year, I won the IDI Student Graduate Awards 2026 in the Craft Design category and was awarded the Gold Award at the Irish Jewellers & Silversmiths Guild Student Awards. I teach at Silver Works Dublin, and an internship with the leather craftswoman Una Burke is where my fascination with combining silver and leather began. The precision of one material against the bodily, lived-in trace of the other.
My debut collection, Again, Again, Again, takes the language of Irish dance and works it into sterling silver and laser-etched leather: circular forms for the rhythm of rehearsal, dance-step markings burned into leather, and phrases repeated until they disappear into the metal. The inspiration is Irish dance, but the work isn't only for dancers. It's for anyone who understands that the things worth having are the things you practice for, again, and again, and again.
Every piece is designed and handmade by me in Ireland, and hallmarked at the Dublin Assay Office. The one-of-a-kind pieces are made once and never remade. The rest are made to order, by hand, so no two are ever quite identical.
Thank you for being here at the beginning.
